Your tour will begin with a visit to the Metsamor Museum in the village of Taronik, which is located 33 km from Yerevan. In addition to the museum, you will also see an ancient settlement and a castle. At the location of the historical monument, archaeologists recorded layers of the early Bronze Age. In the next paragraph of this tour we will visit the ruins of the castle of the Ancient Armenian capital Armavir. The castle is located on a hill, at the base of which Greek inscriptions are fixed on a large stone. It is believed that the castle was built around 8 BC. in the Urartu Kingdom. It was either a part or a separate structure of the Urartu city Argishtikhinili. On the way back to Yerevan, you will see the ruins of the Christian temple complex Zvartnots, 5th century.
